UPSTREAM: usb: typec: Rationalize the API for the muxes
Since with accessory modes there is no need for additional identification when requesting a handle to the mux, we can replace the second parameter that is passed to the typec_mux_get() function with a pointer to alternate mode description structure, and simply passing NULL with accessory modes. This change means the naming of the mux device connections can be updated. Alternate and Accessory Modes will both be handled with muxes named "mode-switch", and the orientation switches will be named "orientation-switch". Future identification of the alternate modes will be later done using device property "svid" of the mux. ANDROID: GKI: usb: dwc3: Add USB_DR_MODE_DRD as dual role mode
dwc_usb31 supports DRD only mode. It does not support
USB OTG mode. SNPS core consultant parameter DWC_USB3_EN_OTG
is not set for dwc_usb31. Hence add USB_DR_MODE_DRD which
reflects support for host and device mode support without
supporting USB OTG features.

dwc3-msm: Map IPA GSI channel doorbell register for different UDC core
Currently GSI endpoint usb_request pointer is allocated only once during boot time and it used by dwc3 driver for mapping doorbell register address with USB endpoint request only once. During composition switch or connect/disconnect scenarios same USB endpoint is being re-enabled and does not create mapping again. On some platforms multiple UDC cores can work in device mode. In case of binding the UDC with primary controller first and then disconnect the primary and bind UDC to secondary controller. Driver does not re-mapping the doorbell address with current UDC core and USB GSI wrapper is trying to access previously mapped GSI DBL address with previous core resulting into smmu fault. Fix this issue by adding re-mapping of doorbell using dwc->sysdev node to map the doorbell register with correct UDC. USB: core: add endpoint-blacklist quirk
commit 73f8bda9b5dc1c69df2bc55c0cbb24461a6391a9 upstream.
Add a new device quirk that can be used to blacklist endpoints.
Since commit 3e4f8e21c4f2 ("USB: core: fix check for duplicate
endpoints") USB core ignores any duplicate endpoints found during
descriptor parsing.
In order to handle devices where the first interfaces with duplicate
endpoints are the ones that should have their endpoints ignored, we need
to add a blacklist.

usb: f_qdss: Handle async completion of requests during qdss_close
When qdss_close is called we try to dequeue the pending and started requests and then free those requests. But when async completion is enabled the completion callback could be called after freeing up that request which may lead to list corruption. Handle this by ensuring that the requests are freed only after the completion callback is done for all the requests. usb: typec: tcpm: Notify the tcpc to start connection-detection for SRPs

Some tcpc device-drivers need to explicitly be told to watch for connection
events, otherwise the tcpc will not generate any TCPM_CC_EVENTs and devices
being plugged into the Type-C port will not be noticed.
For dual-role ports tcpm_start_drp_toggling() is used to tell the tcpc to
watch for connection events. Sofar we lack a similar callback to the tcpc
for single-role ports. With some tcpc-s such as the fusb302 this means
no TCPM_CC_EVENTs will be generated when the port is configured as a
single-role port.
This commit renames start_drp_toggling to start_toggling and since the
device-properties are parsed by the tcpm-core, adds a port_type parameter
to the start_toggling callback so that the tcpc_dev driver knows the
port-type and can act accordingly when it starts toggling.
The new start_toggling callback now always gets called if defined, instead
of only being called for DRP ports.
To avoid this causing undesirable functional changes all existing
start_drp_toggling implementations are not only renamed to start_toggling,
but also get a port_type check added and return -EOPNOTSUPP when port_type
is not DRP.

usb: dwc3: Drive a pulse on DP on CDP detection
Some USB host PCs switch the downstream port mode from CDP to SDP if the device does not pull DP up within certain duration (~2s). This limits the current drawn by the device to 500mA(or 900mA) as opposed to the possible 1.5A resulting in slow charging of the battery. usb: typec: Registering real device entries for the muxes
Registering real device entries (struct device) for the mode
muxes as well as for the orientation switches.
The Type-C mux code was deliberately attempting to avoid
creation of separate device entries for the orientation
switch and the mode switch (alternate modes) because they
are not physical devices. They are functions of a single
physical multiplexer/demultiplexer switch device.
Unfortunately because of the dependency we still have on the
underlying mux device driver, we had to put in hacks like
the one in the commit

usb: typec: Rationalize the API for the muxes
Since with accessory modes there is no need for additional identification when requesting a handle to the mux, we can replace the second parameter that is passed to the typec_mux_get() function with a pointer to alternate mode description structure, and simply passing NULL with accessory modes. This change means the naming of the mux device connections can be updated. Alternate and Accessory Modes will both be handled with muxes named "mode-switch", and the orientation switches will be named "orientation-switch". Future identification of the alternate modes will be later done using device property "svid" of the mux. usb: pd: Add flag to notify peer_usb_comm support to dp
Some Type-C multi-port adapters which do not support usb connection are advertising the multi-functionality in DP alt mode. If multi-functionality is preferred, the DP driver assumes the adapter supports usb connection and USB phy driver will program the PHY mode to DP+USB. In source mode, usb PD driver checks for the peer_usb_connection of the adapter. If it does not support usb then it will stop usb stack and update the PHY MODE to USB only mode from phy_suspend path. The result is, usb may program the combo PHY to usb only mode when DP is already connected. This is causing AUX read/write timeouts when DP is trying to access the phy registers. To fix this issue, a flag in SVID connect handler in usbpd driver to notify peer_usb_comm support to the DP driver. DP driver will read this flag and program the phy mode. Add an API to allow a VDM client (e.g. DisplayPort) to indicate that the system is entering suspend but that an incoming VDM message is expected. If a VDM is then received, it will bypass kick_sm() which would otherwise abort the suspend and instead be handed to the client VDM handler directly. [ Upstream commit 23b5f73266e59a598c1e5dd435d87651b5a7626b ] During HARD_RESET the data link is disconnected. For self powered device, the spec is advising against doing that. >From USB_PD_R3_0 7.1.5 Response to Hard Resets Device operation during and after a Hard Reset is defined as follows: Self-powered devices Should Not disconnect from USB during a Hard Reset (see Section 9.1.2). Bus powered devices will disconnect from USB during a Hard Reset due to the loss of their power source. Tackle this by letting TCPM know whether the device is self or bus powered. This overcomes unnecessary port disconnections from hard reset. Also, speeds up the enumeration time when connected to Type-A ports. usb: phy-msm-ssusb-qmp: Perform USB only reset in USB+DP mode
When USB3 controller stops responding to stop endpoint command driver performs global phy reset to recover from error state. During this USB host mode recovery is performed and global phy reset is done but DP driver is not notified of this reset which results in unclocked access of DP link registers. Fix this by replacing phy global reset with USB only reset to not affect DP PHY when USB is reset in DP+USB concurrent mode. Update helper APIs to return physical address as well as USB SMMU stage 1 address. Physical address is used to map it to iova for remote processor. S1 address is used by xHC. usb: host: Flush hub workqueue before stopping controller
when xhci platform driver is removed with a usb device connected there is a possibility of race between xhci platform driver remove context and device disconnect hub event work context. This results into use after free: xhci_mem_clean() called from xhci_plat_remove() freeing the xhci virtual device when a structure member is being accessed by xhci_alloc_virt_device() after virtual device allocation as part of connect hub event. deadlock: Upon device disconnect if stop endpoint command remains pending xhci_mem_cleanup() frees xhci virtual device which also frees up endpoint stop_cmd_timer. udev->dev lock is held until cancelled urb is not given back to class driver. In a different context xhci platform remove calls usb_disconnect() on children of root hub which tries to acquire the same udev->dev lock this results into a dead lock condition.
