commit 3be4562584bba603f33863a00c1c32eecf772ee6 upstream.
The third parameter of dma_set_encrypted() is a size in bytes rather than
the number of pages.

[ Upstream commit 4a37f3dd9a83186cb88d44808ab35b78375082c9 ]
The original x86 sev_alloc() only called set_memory_decrypted() on
memory returned by alloc_pages_node(), so the page order calculation
fell out of that logic. However, the common dma-direct code has several
potential allocators, not all of which are guaranteed to round up the
underlying allocation to a power-of-two size, so carrying over that
calculation for the encryption/decryption size was a mistake. Fix it by
rounding to a *number* of pages, rather than an order.
Until recently there was an even worse interaction with DMA_DIRECT_REMAP
where we could have ended up decrypting part of the next adjacent
vmalloc area, only averted by no architecture actually supporting both
configs at once. Don't ask how I found that one out...

We must never let unencrypted memory go back into the general page pool.

the memory instead and warn the user.

Remapped allocations handle the encrypted bit through the pgprot passed
to vmap, so there is no call dma_set_decrypted. Note that this case is
currently entirely theoretical as no valid kernel configuration supports
remapped allocations and memory encryption currently.

When dma_direct_alloc_pages encounters a highmem page it just gives up

zone_dma32_is_empty() currently lacks the proper validation to ensure
that the NUMA node ID it receives as an argument is valid. This has no
effect on kernels with CONFIG_NUMA=n as NODE_DATA() will return the
same pglist_data on these devices, but on kernels with CONFIG_NUMA=y,
this is not the case, and the node passed to NODE_DATA must be
validated.
Rather than trying to find the node containing ZONE_DMA32, replace
calls of zone_dma32_is_empty() with zone_dma32_are_empty() (which
iterates over all nodes and returns false if one of the nodes holds
DMA32 and it is non-empty).

ZONE_DMA32 is enabled by default on android13-5.15, yet it is not
needed for all devices, nor is it desirable to have if not needed. For
instance, if a partner in GKI 1.0 did not use ZONE_DMA32, memory can
be lower for ZONE_NORMAL relative to older targets, such that memory
would run out more quickly in ZONE_NORMAL leading kswapd to be invoked
unnecessarily.
Correspondingly, provide a means of making ZONE_DMA32 empty via the
kernel command line when it is compiled in via CONFIG_ZONE_DMA32.

Add an option to allocate uncached memory for dma_alloc_coherent from
the global dma_coherent_default_memory. This will allow to move
arm-nommu (and eventually other platforms) to use generic code for

Note that this is a different pool from the one that platforms that

The new field 'dma_range_map' in struct device is used to facilitate the
use of single or multiple offsets between mapping regions of cpu addrs and
dma addrs. It subsumes the role of "dev->dma_pfn_offset" which was only
capable of holding a single uniform offset and had no region bounds
checking.
The function of_dma_get_range() has been modified so that it takes a single
argument -- the device node -- and returns a map, NULL, or an error code.
The map is an array that holds the information regarding the DMA regions.
Each range entry contains the address offset, the cpu_start address, the
dma_start address, and the size of the region.
of_dma_configure() is the typical manner to set range offsets but there are
a number of ad hoc assignments to "dev->dma_pfn_offset" in the kernel
driver code. These cases now invoke the function
dma_direct_set_offset(dev, cpu_addr, dma_addr, size).

blocking, memory must be returned from the atomic coherent pools.
This avoids the remap when CONFIG_DMA_DIRECT_REMAP is not enabled and the
config only requires CONFIG_DMA_COHERENT_POOL. This will be used for
CONFIG_AMD_MEM_ENCRYPT in a subsequent patch.
Keep all memory in these pools unencrypted. When set_memory_decrypted()

The single atomic pool is allocated from the lowest zone possible since
it is guaranteed to be applicable for any DMA allocation.
Devices may allocate through the DMA API but not have a strict reliance
on GFP_DMA memory. Since the atomic pool will be used for all
non-blockable allocations, returning all memory from ZONE_DMA may
unnecessarily deplete the zone.
Provision for multiple atomic pools that will map to the optimal gfp
mask of the device.
When allocating non-blockable memory, determine the optimal gfp mask of
the device and use the appropriate atomic pool.
The coherent DMA mask will remain the same between allocation and free
and, thus, memory will be freed to the same atomic pool it was allocated
from.
