BACKPORT: bpf: Use char in prog and map name
Instead of u8, use char for prog and map name. It can avoid the userspace tool getting compiler's signess warning. The bpf_prog_aux, bpf_map, bpf_attr, bpf_prog_info and bpf_map_info are changed. BACKPORT: bpf: Add map_name to bpf_map_info
This patch allows userspace to specify a name for a map during BPF_MAP_CREATE. The map's name can later be exported to user space via BPF_OBJ_GET_INFO_BY_FD. BACKPORT: bpf: Add name, load_time, uid and map_ids to bpf_prog_info
The patch adds name and load_time to struct bpf_prog_aux. They are also exported to bpf_prog_info. The bpf_prog's name is passed by userspace during BPF_PROG_LOAD. The kernel only stores the first (BPF_PROG_NAME_LEN - 1) bytes and the name stored in the kernel is always \0 terminated. The kernel will reject name that contains characters other than isalnum() and '_'. It will also reject name that is not null terminated. The existing 'user->uid' of the bpf_prog_aux is also exported to the bpf_prog_info as created_by_uid. The existing 'used_maps' of the bpf_prog_aux is exported to the newly added members 'nr_map_ids' and 'map_ids' of the bpf_prog_info. On the input, nr_map_ids tells how big the userspace's map_ids buffer is. On the output, nr_map_ids tells the exact user_map_cnt and it will only copy up to the userspace's map_ids buffer is allowed. btrfs: defrag: reject unknown flags of btrfs_ioctl_defrag_range_args
commit 173431b274a9a54fc10b273b46e67f46bcf62d2e upstream. Add extra sanity check for btrfs_ioctl_defrag_range_args::flags. This is not really to enhance fuzzing tests, but as a preparation for future expansion on btrfs_ioctl_defrag_range_args. In the future we're going to add new members, allowing more fine tuning for btrfs defrag. Without the -ENONOTSUPP error, there would be no way to detect if the kernel supports those new defrag features. media: videodev2.h: Fix struct v4l2_input tuner index comment
[ Upstream commit 26ae58f65e64fa7ba61d64bae752e59e08380c6a ]
VIDIOC_ENUMINPUT documentation describes the tuner field of
struct v4l2_input as index:
Documentation/userspace-api/media/v4l/vidioc-enuminput.rst
"
* - __u32
- ``tuner``
- Capture devices can have zero or more tuners (RF demodulators).
When the ``type`` is set to ``V4L2_INPUT_TYPE_TUNER`` this is an
RF connector and this field identifies the tuner. It corresponds
to struct :c:type:`v4l2_tuner` field ``index``. For
details on tuners see :ref:`tuner`.
"
Drivers I could find also use the 'tuner' field as an index, e.g.:
drivers/media/pci/bt8xx/bttv-driver.c bttv_enum_input()
drivers/media/usb/go7007/go7007-v4l2.c vidioc_enum_input()
However, the UAPI comment claims this field is 'enum v4l2_tuner_type':
include/uapi/linux/videodev2.h
This field being 'enum v4l2_tuner_type' is unlikely as it seems to be
never used that way in drivers, and documentation confirms it. It seem
this comment got in accidentally in the commit which this patch fixes.
Fix the UAPI comment to stop confusion.
This was pointed out by Dmitry while reviewing VIDIOC_ENUMINPUT
support for strace.

block: change all __u32 annotations to __be32 in affs_hardblocks.h
commit 95a55437dc49fb3342c82e61f5472a71c63d9ed0 upstream.
The Amiga partition parser module uses signed int for partition sector
address and count, which will overflow for disks larger than 1 TB.
Use u64 as type for sector address and size to allow using disks up to
2 TB without LBD support, and disks larger than 2 TB with LBD. The RBD
format allows to specify disk sizes up to 2^128 bytes (though native
OS limitations reduce this somewhat, to max 2^68 bytes), so check for
u64 overflow carefully to protect against overflowing sector_t.
This bug was reported originally in 2012, and the fix was created by
the RDB author, Joanne Dow <jdow@earthlink.net>. A patch had been
discussed and reviewed on linux-m68k at that time but never officially
submitted (now resubmitted as patch 1 of this series).
Patch 3 (this series) adds additional error checking and warning
messages. One of the error checks now makes use of the previously
unused rdb_CylBlocks field, which causes a 'sparse' warning
(cast to restricted __be32).
Annotate all 32 bit fields in affs_hardblocks.h as __be32, as the
on-disk format of RDB and partition blocks is always big endian.

Remove DECnet support from kernel
commit 1202cdd665315c525b5237e96e0bedc76d7e754f upstream. DECnet is an obsolete network protocol that receives more attention from kernel janitors than users. It belongs in computer protocol history museum not in Linux kernel. It has been "Orphaned" in kernel since 2010. The iproute2 support for DECnet was dropped in 5.0 release. The documentation link on Sourceforge says it is abandoned there as well. Leave the UAPI alone to keep userspace programs compiling. This means that there is still an empty neighbour table for AF_DECNET. The table of /proc/sys/net entries was updated to match current directories and reformatted to be alphabetical. btrfs: scrub: reject unsupported scrub flags
commit 604e6681e114d05a2e384c4d1e8ef81918037ef5 upstream. Since the introduction of scrub interface, the only flag that we support is BTRFS_SCRUB_READONLY. Thus there is no sanity checks, if there are some undefined flags passed in, we just ignore them. This is problematic if we want to introduce new scrub flags, as we have no way to determine if such flags are supported. Address the problem by introducing a check for the flags, and if unsupported flags are set, return -EOPNOTSUPP to inform the user space. This check should be backported for all supported kernels before any new scrub flags are introduced. uapi/linux/const.h: prefer ISO-friendly __typeof__
[ Upstream commit 31088f6f7906253ef4577f6a9b84e2d42447dba0 ]
typeof is (still) a GNU extension, which means that it cannot be used when
building ISO C (e.g. -std=c99). It should therefore be avoided in uapi
headers in favour of the ISO-friendly __typeof__.
Unfortunately this issue could not be detected by
CONFIG_UAPI_HEADER_TEST=y as the __ALIGN_KERNEL() macro is not expanded in
any uapi header.
This matters from a userspace perspective, not a kernel one. uapi
headers and their contents are expected to be usable in a variety of
situations, and in particular when building ISO C applications (with
-std=c99 or similar).
This particular problem can be reproduced by trying to use the
__ALIGN_KERNEL macro directly in application code, say:
#include <linux/const.h>
int align(int x, int a)
{
return __KERNEL_ALIGN(x, a);
}
and trying to build that with -std=c99.

usb: uvc: Enumerate valid values for color matching
[ Upstream commit e16cab9c1596e251761d2bfb5e1467950d616963 ] The color matching descriptors defined in the UVC Specification contain 3 fields with discrete numeric values representing particular settings. linux/const.h: move UL() macro to include/linux/const.h
commit 2dd8a62c647691161a2346546834262597739872 upstream. ARM, ARM64 and UniCore32 duplicate the definition of UL(): #define UL(x) _AC(x, UL) This is not actually arch-specific, so it will be useful to move it to a common header. Currently, we only have the uapi variant for linux/const.h, so I am creating include/linux/const.h. I also added _UL(), _ULL() and ULL() because _AC() is mostly used in the form either _AC(..., UL) or _AC(..., ULL). I expect they will be replaced in follow-up cleanups. The underscore-prefixed ones should be used for exported headers. linux/const.h: prefix include guard of uapi/linux/const.h with _UAPI
commit 2a6cc8a6c0cb44baf7df2f64e5090aaf726002c3 upstream.
Patch series "linux/const.h: cleanups of macros such as UL(), _BITUL(),
BIT() etc", v3.
ARM, ARM64, UniCore32 define UL() as a shorthand of _AC(..., UL). More
architectures may introduce it in the future.
UL() is arch-agnostic, and useful. So let's move it to
include/linux/const.h
Currently, <asm/memory.h> must be included to use UL(). It pulls in more
bloats just for defining some bit macros.
I posted V2 one year ago.

At that time, what blocked this series was a comment from
David Howells:
You need to be very careful doing this. Some userspace stuff
depends on the guard macro names on the kernel header files.
(https://patchwork.kernel.org/patch/9498275/)
Looking at the code closer, I noticed this is not a problem.
See the following line.
https://github.com/torvalds/linux/blob/v4.16-rc2/scripts/headers_install.sh#L40
scripts/headers_install.sh rips off _UAPI prefix from guard macro names.
I ran "make headers_install" and confirmed the result is what I expect.
So, we can prefix the include guard of include/uapi/linux/const.h,
and add a new include/linux/const.h.
This patch (of 4):
I am going to add include/linux/const.h for the kernel space.
Add _UAPI to the include guard of include/uapi/linux/const.h to
prepare for that.
Please notice the guard name of the exported one will be kept as-is.
So, this commit has no impact to the userspace even if some userspace
stuff depends on the guard macro names.
scripts/headers_install.sh processes exported headers by SED, and
rips off "_UAPI" from guard macro names.

can: error: specify the values of data[5..7] of CAN error frames
[ Upstream commit e70a3263a7eed768d5f947b8f2aff8d2a79c9d97 ]
Currently, data[5..7] of struct can_frame, when used as a CAN error
frame, are defined as being "controller specific". Device specific
behaviours are problematic because it prevents someone from writing
code which is portable between devices.
As a matter of fact, data[5] is never used, data[6] is always used to
report TX error counter and data[7] is always used to report RX error
counter. can-utils also relies on this.
This patch updates the comment in the uapi header to specify that
data[5] is reserved (and thus should not be used) and that data[6..7]
are used for error counters.

random: ignore GRND_RANDOM in getentropy(2)
commit 48446f198f9adcb499b30332488dfd5bc3f176f6 upstream. The separate blocking pool is going away. Start by ignoring GRND_RANDOM in getentropy(2). This should not materially break any API. Any code that worked without this change should work at least as well with this change. UPSTREAM: binderfs: use __u32 for device numbers
We allow more then 255 binderfs binder devices to be created since there are workloads that require more than that. If we use __u8 we'll overflow after 255. So let's use a __u32. Note that there's no released kernel with binderfs out there so this is not a regression. HID: add mapping for KEY_ALL_APPLICATIONS
commit 327b89f0acc4c20a06ed59e4d9af7f6d804dc2e2 upstream. This patch adds a new key definition for KEY_ALL_APPLICATIONS and aliases KEY_DASHBOARD to it. It also maps the 0x0c/0x2a2 usage code to KEY_ALL_APPLICATIONS. xfrm: enforce validity of offload input flags
commit 7c76ecd9c99b6e9a771d813ab1aa7fa428b3ade1 upstream.
struct xfrm_user_offload has flags variable that received user input,
but kernel didn't check if valid bits were provided. It caused a situation
where not sanitized input was forwarded directly to the drivers.
For example, XFRM_OFFLOAD_IPV6 define that was exposed, was used by
strongswan, but not implemented in the kernel at all.
As a solution, check and sanitize input flags to forward
XFRM_OFFLOAD_INBOUND to the drivers.
