VMCI: Fix use-after-free when removing resource in vmci_resource_remove()
commit 48b9a8dabcc3cf5f961b2ebcd8933bf9204babb7 upstream.
When removing a resource from vmci_resource_table in
vmci_resource_remove(), the search is performed using the resource
handle by comparing context and resource fields.
It is possible though to create two resources with different types
but same handle (same context and resource fields).
When trying to remove one of the resources, vmci_resource_remove()
may not remove the intended one, but the object will still be freed
as in the case of the datagram type in vmci_datagram_destroy_handle().
vmci_resource_table will still hold a pointer to this freed resource
leading to a use-after-free vulnerability.

mei: demote client disconnect warning on suspend to debug
[ Upstream commit 1db5322b7e6b58e1b304ce69a50e9dca798ca95b ] Change level for the "not connected" client message in the write callback from error to debug. The MEI driver currently disconnects all clients upon system suspend. This behavior is by design and user-space applications with open connections before the suspend are expected to handle errors upon resume, by reopening their handles, reconnecting, and retrying their operations. However, the current driver implementation logs an error message every time a write operation is attempted on a disconnected client. Since this is a normal and expected flow after system resume logging this as an error can be misleading. vmci: prevent speculation leaks by sanitizing event in event_deliver()
commit 8003f00d895310d409b2bf9ef907c56b42a4e0f4 upstream.
Coverity spotted that event_msg is controlled by user-space,
event_msg->event_data.event is passed to event_deliver() and used
as an index without sanitization.
This change ensures that the event index is sanitized to mitigate any
possibility of speculative information leaks.
This bug was discovered and resolved using Coverity Static Analysis
Security Testing (SAST) by Synopsys, Inc.
Only compile tested, no access to HW.

VMCI: Fix possible memcpy() run-time warning in vmci_datagram_invoke_guest_handler()

The changes are similar to those given in the commit 19b070fefd0d
("VMCI: Fix memcpy() run-time warning in dg_dispatch_as_host()").
Fix filling of the msg and msg_payload in dg_info struct, which prevents a
possible "detected field-spanning write" of memcpy warning that is issued
by the tracking mechanism __fortify_memcpy_chk.

So those extra bytes of payload are copied into msg_payload[], a run time
warning is seen while fuzzing with Syzkaller.
One possible way to fix the warning is to split the memcpy() into
two parts -- one -- direct assignment of msg and second taking care of payload.

misc: st_core: Do not call kfree_skb() under spin_lock_irqsave()

It is not allowed to call kfree_skb() from hardware interrupt
context or with hardware interrupts being disabled.

misc: pci_endpoint_test: Re-init completion for every test
commit fb620ae73b70c2f57b9d3e911fc24c024ba2324f upstream.
The irq_raised completion used to detect the end of a test case is
initialized when the test device is probed, but never reinitialized again
before a test case. As a result, the irq_raised completion synchronization
is effective only for the first ioctl test case executed. Any subsequent
call to wait_for_completion() by another ioctl() call will immediately
return, potentially too early, leading to false positive failures.
Fix this by reinitializing the irq_raised completion before starting a new
ioctl() test command.

cxl: Fix refcount leak in cxl_calc_capp_routing

of_get_next_parent() returns a node pointer with refcount incremented,
we should use of_node_put() on it when not need anymore.
This function only calls of_node_put() in normal path,
missing it in the error path.
Add missing of_node_put() to avoid refcount leak.

device_del() and put_device(), then goes to put dev when register fails.

In some bad situation, the gts may be freed gru_check_chiplet_assignment.
The call chain can be gru_unload_context->gru_free_gru_context->gts_drop
and kfree finally. However, the caller didn't know if the gts is freed
or not and use it afterwards. This will trigger a Use after Free bug.
Fix it by introducing a return value to see if it's in error path or not.
Free the gts in caller if gru_check_chiplet_assignment check failed.

lkdtm/usercopy: Expand size of "out of frame" object
[ Upstream commit f387e86d3a74407bdd9c5815820ac9d060962840 ] To be sufficiently out of range for the usercopy test to see the lifetime mismatch, expand the size of the "bad" buffer, which will let it be beyond current_stack_pointer regardless of stack growth direction. Paired with the recent addition of stack depth checking under CONFIG_HARDENED_USERCOPY=y, this will correctly start tripping again. kgdbts: fix return value of __setup handler

__setup() handlers should return 1 to indicate that the boot option
has been handled. A return of 0 causes the boot option/value to be
listed as an Unknown kernel parameter and added to init's (limited)
environment strings. So return 1 from kgdbts_option_setup().
Unknown kernel command line parameters "BOOT_IMAGE=/boot/bzImage-517rc7
kgdboc=kbd kgdbts=", will be passed to user space.
Run /sbin/init as init process
with arguments:

lkdtm: Fix content of section containing lkdtm_rodata_do_nothing()

On a kernel without CONFIG_STRICT_KERNEL_RWX, running EXEC_RODATA
test leads to "Illegal instruction" failure.
Looking at the content of rodata_objcopy.o, we see that the
function content zeroes only:

clang-14 complains about an unusual way of converting a pointer to
an integer:
drivers/misc/cb710/sgbuf2.c:50:15: error: performing pointer subtraction with a null pointer has undefined behavior [-Werror,-Wnull-pointer-subtraction]
return ((ptr - NULL) & 3) != 0;
Replace this with a normal cast to uintptr_t.

present in this operation.
Only when the qp broker has mem, it can unregister the user
memory when unmapping the qp broker.

soc: aspeed: lpc-ctrl: Fix boundary check for mmap

The check mixes pages (vm_pgoff) with bytes (vm_start, vm_end) on one
side of the comparison, and uses resource address (rather than just the
resource size) on the other side of the comparison.
This can allow malicious userspace to easily bypass the boundary check and
map pages that are located outside memory-region reserved by the driver.

misc/libmasm/module: Fix two use after free in ibmasm_init_one
[ Upstream commit 7272b591c4cb9327c43443f67b8fbae7657dd9ae ] In ibmasm_init_one, it calls ibmasm_init_remote_input_dev(). Inside ibmasm_init_remote_input_dev, mouse_dev and keybd_dev are allocated by input_allocate_device(), and assigned to sp->remote.mouse_dev and sp->remote.keybd_dev respectively. In the err_free_devices error branch of ibmasm_init_one, mouse_dev and keybd_dev are freed by input_free_device(), and return error. Then the execution runs into error_send_message error branch of ibmasm_init_one, where ibmasm_free_remote_input_dev(sp) is called to unregister the freed sp->remote.mouse_dev and sp->remote.keybd_dev. My patch add a "error_init_remote" label to handle the error of ibmasm_init_remote_input_dev(), to avoid the uaf bugs. platform/x86: hp_accel: Avoid invoking _INI to speed up resume
[ Upstream commit 79d341e26ebcdbc622348aaaab6f8f89b6fdb25f ] hp_accel can take almost two seconds to resume on some HP laptops. The bottleneck is on evaluating _INI, which is only needed to run once. Resolve the issue by only invoking _INI when it's necessary. Namely, on probe and on hibernation restore. kgdb: fix gcc-11 warnings harder
commit bda7d3ab06f19c02dcef61fefcb9dd954dfd5e4f upstream.
40cc3a80bb42 ("kgdb: fix gcc-11 warning on indentation") tried to fix up
the gcc-11 complaints in this file by just reformatting the #defines.
That worked for gcc 11.1.0, but in gcc 11.1.1 as shipped by Fedora 34,
the warning came back for one of the #defines.
Fix this up again by putting { } around the if statement, now it is
quiet again.
